Honda S2000 MSA log booked as a Stage Rally Car but also makes a fantastic race car as per current Super Lap Scotland class E spec. The car has been rallied on 2 single venue events and just completed the Super Lap Scotland championship in race car lightweight spec. The car has a 100% finishing record. Built from a genuine 82k mile road car. All I have learned from many years of Motorsport has been put into this build. The entire car was stripped back to a bare shell and fully painted on a rotating table. All unnecessary weight was removed before the car was repainted. I have documented the build with a photo library and build sheet which I am happy to share with any interested buyers.
Recent results have proved that this car has what it takes to win its class and mix it near the front on Tarmac events. We recently finished 9th overall at the Granite Stages 2017 and won the 2000cc class in front of some well driven high spec (Millington) MkII Escorts. On track the car does a 59.2 second lap (SLS class E record for 2018) at Knockhill Race Circuit on Toyo R888r tyres.

T45 lightweight multipoint weld in cage triangulated to front and rear suspension points installed by the very talented Scott McMinn. Boot floor flushed, stand tubes fitted to the sills, aluminium Honda hardtop with custom fitting catches. Shell stripped of all underseal and then primed before full respray inside and out. Interior colour is gun metal grey metallic, exterior Ford diamond white. The car weight is 1050kg in race spec and 1100kg in rally spec. This shell is solid with no rust.
New Sparco seats dated to 2021. New Sparco belts are 6 point and dated to 2021. Hydraulic fly-off vertical handbrake. Rear bias adjuster installed for driver. Hardline fuel lines and braided brake lines run inside the car. Lifeline plumbed in fire extinguisher for engine bay. Hand held fire extinguisher for cabin. Belt cuter, tow rope, first aid kit.
Double wishbones all round. New polybushes fitted on build. New suspension pivot bolts installed and greased. D2 track coilovers all round with compression and height adjustments on each corner. Both front and rear suspension subframes were shot blasted and powder coated black on build.
All callipers are std Honda and were new when the car was built in 2016. Discs were new std Honda on build and the pads are currently Ferodo DS2500 all round. Custom braided Hel Performance brake lines throughout that go all the way to the callipers.
Honda F20c running on a ME221 Motorsport Electronics fully mappable ECU, 222bhp (running on a safe fuel map with rolling road cert), 1997cc, Chain driven DOHC, vtec engages at 4200rpm and limiter cuts at 9000rpm. Baffled sump and new chain tensioner fitted on build in 2016. The EGR has been blanked, air pump delete, ac delete. The exhaust has been modified to hug the chassis and be lightweight, hi-flow cat fitted. New NGK plugs and regularly had oil changes. Currently at 83k miles.
Standard Honda s2000 6 speed gearbox with fresh oil. With the current diff the car is geared for about 140mph in 6th at 9000rpm. Helix four paddle rally clutch.
Multi-link double wishbones as per standard Honda configuration. The differential has been rebuilt with a 4.625cwp (std is 4.1) and is bolted to the original torsen Honda LSD running on fresh Honda oil.
Wheels & Tyres
Currently running on 16 inch JDM BBS forged wheels that only weigh 6 kg per wheel with Toyo r888r’s all round. Eight spare standard Honda s2000 16 inch alloy wheels. Four Hancook Tarmac Rally T71 part worn tyres. Four worn Avon track tyres.
Some panels. Full set of suspension arms. Spare 4.625 cwp. Standard seats. Spare radiator. Two sets of spare pads.
