I am selling my Metro 6R4 Replica, built in 2016 from a 1 owner Metro Van sold new by ourselves, the shell was stripped and the floor section cut out and welded to a steel table where the space frame chassis was constructed and replicated as close to original as possible, the roll cage has been incorporated into the windscreen pillar as original, the steel floor pans were pressed to replicate the originals, even a polycarbonate centre partition was located, the body kit is moulded from the original moulds by Jim Howie using light weight Carbon Kevlar.

The Car is powered by a Suzuki Hayabusa Gen1, a complete bike was sourced, as the project progressed it grew arms and legs, a decision was made to Turbo charge the engine, a few phone calls were made and I decided to entrust Turbo guru Jack Frost of Holdshot Racing, Many engine mods was carried out to withstand the Power of the huge Garret Turbo charger with electronic boost control, the engine is running approx 300 BHP.

The drivetrain is a Quaife reverse drive box with a LSD, the driveshafts were specially made by a Autograss specialist, the rear swing arms were supplied by Z-Cars with 4 pot Willwood calipers.

The front struts were specially made by Gaz suspension with adjustable dampage
Front brakes are Group 4 with alloy hubs.

We went the extra mile with the steering, it has Corsa electronic adjustable Power steering which utilises the top of the Metro column so you wouldn’t know, it’s coupled to a Mk2 Escort 2.4

The wheels are Revolutions 9" x 15" on the front & 10" x 15" on the rear, tyres are Avon slicks cut into the Historic pattern.

This Car drives absolutely amazing, it’s been used on a Hill climb and round a short circuit Oval, to everyone’s delight it was impressively quick, the Car has never been MOTd, the tyres don’t meet legal requirements.
