Description

Genuine 1966 Mk1 Austin Mini Cooper S Historic 1275/1966, comes with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate.
This Mini comes from a true Mini enthusiast, below is an interesting short story.
His Dad bought a brand new Mini van in 1965, he was young then but able to drive his Dad’s Mini from time to time.
He often borrowed his Dad’s Mini without permission in the evenings and drove it to the seaside in Helsinki, there he drove it on ice tracks on the frozen Baltic Sea. Because Mini was so easy to drive this was exceedingly fun. Naturally this is what gave him a strong emotional bond with the Mini.

After a while his Dad wondered why the Mini’s engine packed up so quickly? Maybe the evening ice race sessions had something to do with that 😊.
He then bought his Wife a Mini Cooper 998 in 1972. It was so good to drive that he started to drive rallies at weekends with it, during the week his Wife used it for her shopping trips. In 2002 he tuned up this red Mini to rally condition and started to drive historic rallies and sprints.

In 2006 he bought this Mini Cooper S 1275 and converted it to Historic rally specification, he was very successful with this car and it has a great documented race history spanning from 6.1.2007 – 8.10.2011. Driven both summer and winter, 32 Historic rallies and sprints.
Since the last competition, the car has been part of his private collection and used only to attend shows.

It has a new FIA passport and is a fast car.
Front and rear wheel cambers have been adjusted to suit rally driving.
There is an opportunity to purchase many spares with this car.

Final drive ratio 4.78

The car is in Finland and can be shipped to your front door in the UK or worldwide, please ask for a price. Shipping to Southampton & Harwich costs £650 and is to be added to the final price.

Please know that I will help you in every way possible with the purchase.
I have good contacts for shipping the vehicle all over Europe and UK
If you would like to come and view the vehicle before purchasing that would be great but if it isn't possible to come and view I will do my best to give you as much information and as many photos as you require.

I myself buy a lot from foreign countries so I know exactly the situation you are in.

There is no import duty to pay into the UK as it is classed as -Movement of goods within the EU (UK is still part of the EU) but of course you can look into this yourself.

Check out my other items for sale.
