Escort Mk 1 powered by Mountune based S2000 engine.Bodyshell:Type 49 with fully triangulated T45 roll cage with front suspension pick up points and X pattern door bars. Fully seam welded, filleted, bubble arched with tall turrets, wide tunnels and chassis gussets. Double bulkhead. All steel bonnet, boot and doors. Roof air vent. Heated Front windscreen with polycarbonate side and rear windows. Engine: Mountune based S2000 engine but uprated by Warren Heath with forged pistons, steel rods, uprated shells, and ARP head, crank, and rod bolts.. Engine number MTC 498. All fully balanced etc. MBE ECU. Mountune engine dyno showed 231 bhp.. Runs on “Mountune Sport” cams which give a lovely even torque band making for an easy drive. 55 miles since full upgrade rebuild. Previously only done 300 miles of track days in Radical style race car Nice smooth engine that revs comfortably to 7750rpm with safety. The engine will go to 250 bhp easily and without going to a steel crank. Dry sumped with Pace twin scavenge pump. Alloy sump. Janvey (Racetec) throttle bodies with ITG Filter. Aluminium GP4 radiator and electric fan Alloy oil cooler. Remote oil filter. Quaife 6 speed sequential gearbox with gear indicator. 0 miles since full rebuild including new imput shaft. Helix 6 paddle competition clutch with hydraulic operation. New Helix hand made Flywheel Single piece prop shaft. Lowered Rix world cup cross member with 2.2 high ratio rack,. Special engine mounts to suit Duratec. Compression struts. All lines for oil, petrol and brakes are PTFE Goodridge braided. All alloy connections. Stainless steel exhaust manifold with stainless steel main exhaust with re packable rear box. Stack instrument cluster. Fully relayed control panel in central location. Flocked dash. Mini heater / air blower Removable suede steering wheel. Electric. Power steering. Lifeline Zero 360 plumbed in system with 2 cockpit and 4 engine bay nozzles, complimented by 1 Zero 360 hand held and 1 AFF handheld. Sabelt FIA seats and 6 point FIA 3” harnesses. (Valid end 2019). High hydraulic handbrake next to gear lever. GP4 Bias pedal box with hydraulic conversion. Boot mounted dry sump tank, with all lines aeroquipped and Aluminium fittings. Shaped Fuel tank with high pressure pumps, swirl pot and filters etc. Bilstein tarmac (300/70 short) suspension all round. Front are wide piston with 2.25 fully adjustable springs. Concentric competition roller bearing top mounts. Front AP racing 4 pot callipers with ventilated AP discs. Group 4 studs all round. R.A.C.E. rear Atlas axle with ZF 4.6 LSD, rear discs and callipers. 5 link bars. Slipper springs. Full length alloy guard. Alloy dry sump tank, alloy catch tank. Mud flaps all round.
