Mk2 Escort 2.0 Honda S2000

Clean and tidy MK2 Escort; previously used for both tarmac and gravel rallying but would be equally suitable for trackdays, sprinting etc. This car was originally fitted with a Millington engine many years ago but then converted to the much more affordable Honda S2000 engine which are very powerful & reliable and a good way to go as much lighter than a Vaux XE.

Bodyshell; 6 linked Alloy arched bodyshell, lightweight windows, straight, clean and presentable paintwork, rot free shell with good floor pans etc, modified inner wings to allow wider track which could be put back to std if required.

Engine; Honda S2000 engine (totally std) fitted with dry sump system, Jenvey throttle bodies, stand alone ECU and fitted with correct tuned exhaust manifold…these give circa 260+bhp, it goes extremely well, revs past 9k rpm and ticks over like a sewing machine such is the quality of these engines. (this is a very popular, cheap & reliable way of having good power)

Transmission; Paddle clutch and modified 5 speed dogleg close ratio gearbox, 2 piece propshaft (spare identical gearbox, propshaft and new paddle clutch in spares kit) Fully Floating Atlas axle, 5.1 LSD, Alloy dural brace, Big shafts, Disc brakes with alloy 2 pot calipers.

Brakes/Suspension; Front AP 4 pots & 2 pot rears, bias pedal box, hyd hand brake, Proflex adjustable suspension all round (inc. service kit in spares box), Front traditional mk2 Escort struts with remote canisters & uprated billet stub axles, Rear is Gp.4 Escort Turreted coil over dampers with remote canisters, strengthened steering arms, heavy duty TCA’s and compression struts, Gp.4 Alloy hubs and studs all round. High ratio steering rack.

Other; Shaped alloy fuel tank and elec F.pumps, dry cell race battery, Alloy radiator, oil cooler, catch tanks etc, Bespoke wiring with Digi Dash, Motamec seats, TRS belts etc. This is a multi-use car, ideal for many different disciplines. Previously it has been used on tarmac and on gravel rallies (RAC rally, Nicky Grist, Mull rally, Otterburn etc ) comes with both the tarmac and gravel set ups, light bar, and many other spare parts inc 4 sill stands to suit the car, Alloy sump guard, Bilstein quick lift jack etc. Various paperwork and software for ecu.
