Ford Escort Mk2 2.0 Zetec 1976 – recently completed build with documented build photos!

It has been with its current owner since 2012, he started the build in 2014 and only just recently completed it. Unfortunately, it now needs to be sold due to chance of circumstances, the build cost a lot more then the asking price

The car was totally stripped back to the bare shell, then put on a body-grill ready for the build. Any required rust repairs were carried out. Other body modifications consist of bulkhead gussets, rear turrets, 4-link and panhard. The underneath is painted with 2k epoxy, then undersealed. Then body is painted in pepper Grey metallic, the inspiration for this came from gone in 60 seconds Eleanor.

Fully overhauled 2.0 Zetec. Head ported & polished with stiffer valve springs installed. All Retro-Ford RWD conversion parts fitted.

• Custom exhaust manifold & 2.5″ exhaust
• Lightened flywheel
• Sachs performance clutch and pressure plate
• MT75 Gearbox

• 4x Bilstein coilovers
• Big struts on front with alloy hubs
• Adjustable track control arms and compression struts
• Camber adjustable top mounts
• Quick steering rack
• Fully overhauled Volvo 1031 axle with Torsen lock.
• 13″x6.5″ wheels with 195/60r13 tires
• Willwood 6-pot dynalites front brakes with Willwood grooved and drilled discs, ordered as a set “biggest that fits with 13″ wheels”
• Cosworth Sierra rear brakes with slotted discs.
• Ferodo brake pads at fron and rear.
• All new seals on windows, doors etc.
• Recaro foldable seats.
• All wiring has been replaced.
• All gauges are autometer sport comp II, speedometer works with GPS module.
• Alloy Fuel tank fitted to trunk.
• Battery moved to trunk.
• All new fuel and brake lines.
• Electrical fuel pump.

Everything is in working order. One thing that it would benefit from, is to be set up on the dyno.
