TVR Tuscan V8 1971 – Chassis No 2019/6 - British National Hill climb Championship winner 1982
This piece of British history arrived from Britain to Finland in 2013.
The current owner co-operated with an English friend to find something special from England.
And this car surely is “something special” due to its comprehensive and successful race history in the UK. Numerous stories and pictures were taken of this car during its racing period. This car won the famous Hillclimb-race UK championship in 1982.
The car was restored throughout by its original owner in England in 2000-2003. Only 23,000 miles were driven at that time. The British owner was due to retire from competing due to his old age and started amending the vehicle back to road-use. Below is the original sales advert from the original owner Paul Tankard:

You will notice that the competition car was a different number plate (555 PT), this is because the private registration number was sold and replaced with KPT 555K.
There have been a few changes to the car since being in Finland, all carried out by skilled and professional people:
• Converted from RHD to LHD.
• Rear lights changed from the original Mk2 Cortina lights to Mk1 Cortina lights.
• Interior fabrics and seats replaced.
• Wheels changed, originals included with the car.
The car was registered in Finland in 2013 and has been qualified to Finnish museum vehicle registrar. MOT inspection was done using the details of the original engine, even though it was not present.
It has a Finnish title and a valid test (TUV/MOT) certificate.
Glass fibre body is in good condition.
The paint work looks original. Removed door panel shows same matching colour. However not 100% certainty on that.
Nothing is broken or defective and it is ready to be used.
There is a ton of paperwork and photos with this car from new showing its superb history.
The current owner, skilful mechanic, passionate automotive collector only carefully selects spectacular specimens. Here is definitely one such a discovery!
