Ford Escort Mk1 Stage / Road Rally Car

Ford Escort Mk1 Stage/Road Rally Car. Owned the car since 2013, and have only done road rallys. The car is supplied with an MSA passport although the seats are out of date. Went through a major rebuild in 2017 with many new parts and pannels. It’s had no expense spared in my ownership, and is on the button and ready to go. Road rally winner in the right hands or class winner on a stage event. Spec as follows-

Engine – Wales Motorsport 2.0 litre pinto, all steel bottom end with Farndon steel crank, Dave Brooks head and splits. The engine was rebuilt one event ago and produced 204bhp / 165lb of torque on the dyno, graph and receipts on request.

Transmission / Axle – Sellholm 5 speed dog gearbox, bought new last year and done five events. Recently checked over with no problems found, oil changed before every event. Quartermaster clutch, with new clutch plates fitted a month ago.

Baby atlas axle with a ZF diff, 5:1 CWP, Squires semi floating shafts. Axle was rebuilt one event ago same as the engine.

Suspension/Brakes – Bilstein Coilovers on front with AP openback calipers supplied with new discs and pads. Bilstein shocks on the rear with Squires multi leaf springs and xr3 brakes.

Car is running compression strut on the front, with brand new bottom arms and rose jointed trackrod ends.

Shell – 5 linked, un arched grp4 shell, Saftey Devices bolt in cage, fibreglass boot, steel bonnet, aircraft wiring loom, race clocks and dash, alloy dry sump and fuel tank in the boot, Rix curved sump guard and gearbox plate, kevlar underbody guards, PIAA headlamps, Fyrlyt spotlamps.
