History

Y7 started life in the hands of Tommi Makinen for the 2001 WRC Rally Australia and went on to have a prestigious history with not only Makinen but also McRae, Delecour, and Paasonen. The Lancer WRC is one of the rarest world rally cars with only a handful produced.

Condition

The car is in fantastic condition and remains true to its step 2 works specification. Y7 has had a complete mechanical restoration.

Restoration Details

• Full engine rebuilt by an HKS works support engineer.
• New turbo and exhaust manifold.
• The Xtrac transmission has been overhauled by MML (ex-works personnel).
• All suspension, hubs, and shafts have been replaced with new items.
• All subframes and components have been cleaned, crack tested, and refinished.

Technical Specifications

Still running its works Japanese ECU and boost control.

Additional Features

This car is extremely original and still in Ralliart paint. It has its works radio and Nokia phone still installed.

Rarity

The last known “Y” reg WRC known to have survived. A real collector’s piece!
