Group 2 Ford Fiesta MK1, PNO 613R Rally Car. Finished in works ESSO livery as used by Roger Clark on BRC 1979.
Full ground up restoration to the highest standard using many original and remanufactured components all to works spec. Fully seam welded bodyshell with raised centre and side fuel filler. Heavy duty chassis rails mods to front and rear, with modified front strut towers. Gp2 Engine and Gearbox steady and mounts.
In 1978/79 Boreham were looking to replace the Escort rally car, the Gr2 Fiesta was born, PNO 613R was first used as a practice car for the 79 Monty but didn’t start the rally. Both Roger Clark DHJ500T and Ari Vatenan performed well finishing top finishers in Gp2. It soon became apparent that the Fiesta would make a great class winning car but not a Group 4 Escort beater. Roger Clark was assigned two cars DHJ and PNO for the British championship in 1979, with mixed fortunes. PNO was later sold on and used by Tim Brise, sporting a BDA engine finally.
1600 X-flow all steel engine, forged Pistons, steel flywheel, single plate paddle clucht, Dry sumped oil system with all Earls fittings, shaped dry sump tank under bonnet. 4 Speed Hewland gearbox, freshly rebuilt. FFD viscous differential, 100mm steel output flanges with new heavy duty driveshafts.
Front Suspension. Full Gp2 alloy hubs with adjustable Bilstein coil overs, Roller bearing top mounts. Gp2 front x-members with tarmac anti roll and bottom arms and HD tension struts. Front vented disc`s and AP four callipers.
Rear suspension. Gp2 steel beam, Gp2 hubs and stub axles, Gp2 alloy hub carriers with correct ATE rear vent brakes, Bias works pedal box, Rose jointed rear drag links, rear Bilstein coil overs and anti-roll bar.
Alloy fuel tank under floor with side centre filler, Twin facet pumps.
Interior. Recaro SPG seats with Willans Harnesses all in date, Electric Lifeline plumbed in fire system in date. Worked Gp2 dash board and navigator gauges. All VDO gauges. Hydraulic fly off handbrakes. Heated Front screen. Gp2 steering column, Full t45 welded in roll cage. fully fitted spare wheel and jack, with centre spares pockets and helmet net.
Full Tony Law 4-2-1 exhaust system repackable silencer and Cam coated manifold.
Original 13″ Tarmac Gp2 Magnesium wheels and spare.
