Ford Escort RS Turbo Series 1 – Fully Restored – Rare and desirable, this Series 1 has been subject to a professional, bare-metal, rotisserie restoration.
- Finished in Diamond White with the classic RS Turbo look featuring a body-coloured front grille, bumpers and aerodynamic aids
- Impressive interior in a combination of Monza and Cashmere fabrics with Recaro LS bucket seats
- Fitted with the legendary 132bhp, 1600 CVH unit with a turbocharger, computerised fuel injection and engine management incorporating a boost control
- As can be seen from our images, this stunning little RS has been subject to a rotisserie restoration, the quality of which we haven’t seen for a long time
- From our Vendor’s notes – ‘Bare shell rotisserie restoration, sand-blasted, etch-primed and any rust cut out and replaced invisibly, VIN number still clearly visible in the floor, sunroof tray rust free!! Panel gaps unbelievable for a 1980s Ford. Professionally oven-painted inside and out, underside coated in Gravitex then painted. Engine fully rebuilt with new Kent camshaft kit ,refurbished crank, new clutch ,new oil pump, Wossner oversize pistons/rings and rebore, fully balanced throughout, less than 50 miles old. Work carried out by Classic and Modern in Bracknell at a cost of over £3,500 (trade), receipt comes with car. Turbo charger and manifold fully rebuilt by Turbo Developments in Uxbridge (£660 trade). Stainless steel exhaust, a complete Mk1 RS Turbo copy/replica right down to the dimples etc. on back box, was about £1,000 from memory. Gearbox fully stripped and checked over, new 5th gear fitted, cleaned and new seals ,bearings etc. by Gearbox Solutions in Harlington at a trade cost of £594, receipt included with car. All suspension parts detailed and new bolts and rubbers throughout. New coil springs all round. New/old stock headlights, tail lights and number plate lamps. Original bronze tint glass with opening rear quarter windows. New bronze windscreen. Five pro refurbed alloys and five brand-new Yokohama matching tyres. Two new keys Ford-branded, one is a spare, all locks work from same key. S2 upgrade larger brakes, upgraded alloy standardRS1600i front anti-roll bar, S2 thicker rear anti-roll bar. Refurbished RS 4-spoke leather steering wheel. Very good unrestored dashboard. New original-spec head lining, no sags etc. Original 1985 standard RS Turbo Ford radio cassette player converted to run on Bluetooth. Can be controlled by phone or supplied remote control, totally invisible just looks standard

Entries for our printed catalogue for December Classic Sale at the Warwickshire Event Centre have now closed, however we are still able to accept entries for this sale up until 1st Dec. All the vehicles entered to date are listed below and will be available to view along with their history files at the Warwickshire Event Centre on Friday 6th December from 12noon to 5pm and from 9am on Saturday 7th December until the auction commences at 12noon. Entrance to the sale is by catalogue only which will be available to purchase on arrival, £10 which admits two and includes free parking. The Cafe will be open on Friday from 12noon until 4.30pm and Saturday from 9am serving a variety of hot and cold food and drinks.
