Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16V ‘Group A’ Rally Car (FIA)
This stunning Martini-liveried Lancia Delta Integrale 16V has been subject to an extensive three-year build by Ricky Higgs to FIA Tarmac Rally specification (Period J2). It’s FIA-papered until December 2034 and is ready for its next owner.
Background
Following their success in the 1988 World Rally Championship, Lancia upgraded the Integrale for the 1989 season. The 16V version was launched at the 1989 Geneva Motor Show, featuring subtle improvements while maintaining the 2-litre engine displacement.
Technical Specifications
- 2-litre turbocharged engine producing over 200bhp at 5,500rpm
- Garrett T3 turbo and efficient intercooler system
- Torque increased to 220lb/ft at 3,000rpm
- 0-60mph in just 5.5 seconds, top speed of approximately 140mph
- Torque-split altered to 47/53 front/rear for better handling
Build Details
This Lancia was built by marque expert Ricky Higgs using a standard 16V Integrale road car as a base. The build, exceeding £150k, adhered to FIA specifications with numerous genuine and ‘factory’ parts sourced from Italy. Key features include:
- Group A Turbo Factory Induction system
- Group A ex-factory suspension
- Group A steering rack
- 5-speed dog-leg gearbox with new internals
- Group A brakes
- Speedline magnesium wheels
Exterior and Interior
Finished in Bianco with the iconic Martini livery, this car is every bit the ‘poster car’. Despite its competition focus, the interior showcases meticulous attention to detail.
FIA Certification
FIA papers were issued upon completion of the build and are valid until December 31st, 2034 (Form Number: GB14200). In December 2025, new seats and harness were installed.
Performance and Usage
Since its completion, the car has been driven on the road and tested at Llandow, where it performed exceptionally well. It has not been campaigned in any events.
Opportunity
Due to a change in direction for the current owner, this unique vehicle is now available for purchase. It is eligible for top-class events and offers tremendous value, being offered at a fraction of its replication cost.
