Austin  Cooper  S   (1964) Special Stage Rally Car

Rally car with Competition provenance built in 1975 using Ex Abingdon Works mechanical parts.

Also includes a leather Tool Roll from GRX 5D.

Documented results in its first year of rallying  include:

Manx Internatioanl Rally 1975 1^st in class and 12^th Overall.( clips on Duke Video’s winning aint easy manx 75 )

Mintex International Rally 1976 1^st in class and 38^th Overall

Other top 10 finishes, Class wins, fastest stage times were also achieved in that period.

The car was rolled late 1976 on the Staindale / Dalby stage competing on a Castrol Autosport Round. It was then stored long term until 2014 when it was re built still retaining the rare ex works Abingdon parts.

 ex Works Abingdon  8 Arden Port Head and Block.

MED Multiweb crank, flywheel, clutch , timing gears etc.

Twin 45 webers and large bore maniflow  manifold.

Swiftune dog gearbox, drop gears and semi helical crown wheel.

KAD  main shaft support end cover, MED LSD and original ex works LSD as spare. KAD alloy radius arms. Original ex works Smiths 10,000 rev counter.

Rare original ex works  techdel magnesium sump guard and  magnesium minilite wheels.

Ex Works leather tool roll from  (GRX5D)

Rare ex works EN40B driveshafts, Swiftune supplied Historic Koni shockers.

Facet fuel pump and spare original twin headed SU fuel pump.

AP racing adjustable rear bias valve,,Dual master cylinder on OBP balance bar set up.,Minisport 4 pot callipers and vented front discs.,Minifin rear drums.,Custom cages T45 full weld in roll cage & Reinforcement stiffeners to  floor / seat mountings / handbrake housing incorporated in floor rails.

Adjustable ride height  cones,  bottom arms and tie bars. Swiftune quick rack and steering wheel boss. Motolita steering wheel and an original ex works steering wheel.

Polycarbonate windows, Fibreglass bonnet and boot. Alloy skinned doors.

Spares available inc various Hakka, Dunlop and Yokohamo tyres.

Documents includes: Original Green logbook, MSA Historic Rally ID, MSA Safety Cage Certificate and MSA Competition Car Log Book.
