OPEL ASCONA 400 RALLY

Vera Opel Ascona 400 in versione Gruppo B, allestita all’epoca secondo le specifiche da competizione.

La vettura è dotata di freni AP Lockheed, assetto con bombole esterne, carter secco e scocca rinforzata.

Quando ha terminato la sua carriera agonistica, nel 1990, l’auto è stata acquistata da un collezionista che l’ha completamente smontata e ricostruita, riportando sia la scocca sia la meccanica a condizioni pari al nuovo, praticamente a chilometro zero.

Oggi la vettura si presenta in condizioni eccellenti e la meccanica è stata accuratamente controllata. Recentemente sono state sostituite le tubazioni della benzina, i raccordi e i tubi dell’olio; sono stati inoltre revisionati i carburatori e sostituiti i cavi e le pipette delle candele.

A corredo vengono forniti anche altri 6 cerchi NORI, identici a quelli visibili nelle fotografie.

Si tratta di un’autentica vettura da competizione da collezione, allestita e mantenuta nella configurazione con cui correva all’epoca.

This is an original Opel Ascona 400 prepared to Group B specification and built in period-correct racing configuration.

The car is equipped with AP Lockheed brakes, a competition suspension system with external reservoirs, a dry-sump lubrication system, and a reinforced and strengthened bodyshell.

After the car retired from competition in 1990, it was purchased by a collector, who completely dismantled it and rebuilt it from the ground up, including both the bodyshell and mechanical components, with the aim of returning it to as-new, “zero-kilometre” condition.

The car is currently presented in excellent condition, and the mechanical components have been thoroughly inspected. Recent work includes the replacement of the fuel lines, fittings and oil hoses, servicing of the carburettors, and replacement of the spark plug leads and caps.

The car also comes with six additional NORI wheels, identical to those shown in the photographs.

This is a highly collectible competition car, prepared and preserved in the same period-correct specification and configuration in which it raced at the time.
