Ford GT40 (by Gelscoe)

We have the pleasure to offer this 1965 Ford GT40 (by Gelscoe with VIN GEL-012) for sale.

This car was built in 2018 by renown Gelscoe Engineering Ltd (UK) to exact Period F (1962-1965) specification for German client Stefan Widman. After only one track-day, he part-exchanged the car for a more modern Porsche after which GEL-012 was sold to German collector and historic racer Chris Stahl. Chris repainted the car in its current matt green color and raced the car in two races at Nürburgring and Zandvoort. The car was then sold to its prior owner who only drove it once at a track day and used it for the shooting of a music video upon which it was sold in 2023 to its current owner who also used the car just once. As such, the car has only about 12 hours under its belt and was last gone through in 2023 by Britec Motorsport (invoice available).

GEL-012 just needs a go-through with new fluids upon which the car is in race-ready condition (the accompanying engine dyno-sheet shows its 289ci engine delivering 462 bhp with 555Nm torque). The car comes with a current FIA HTP and a spare set of wheels.

As Gelscoe engineering isn’t building any more GT40’s, this is a rare opportunity to own one of their exacting GT40s which can be enjoyed immediately in various races including Spa 6 Hours, etc..
