Fantastic opportunity to purchase a 3 owner from new car. This car started life as a 1300 L, it was originally the company car of the first owner who then purchased it to start Road rallying. Over the years it was developed and upgraded and eventually went into stage rallying.

The car is currently in Tarmac specification but could easily be converted to Gravel. The V5 is registered as a Historic vehicle so Road Tax and MOT exempt.

Engine – 1600 BDA utilising an AX Block, 83.5mm Bore with Omega Pistons, 72.75 Steel Farndon Crank, 5.230 Farndon Steel Rods, Cosworth BDT 4 Exhaust Stud Head, L1 Cams, Cosworth F1 Valve Springs, Twin Weber 45’s, H&H Ignition, Dry Sumped. Just been checked on rolling road and produced 171bhp at 8000rpm and 120 ft/lbs of Torque at 6130rpm . This was with ignition at only 34 degrees, so plenty of scope for improvement.

Transmission – Gearbox Quaife 5 Speed Pro, Twin Plate AP Paddle Clutch, Fully braced English Axle with LSD and Quaife Large sidegears and shafts, 4:9 Final Drive.

Brakes – Front AP 4 Pot Forest calipers with Vented Discs, Rear Sierra Cosworth calipers on solid discs.

Suspension – Machpherson type Front Legs with Bilstein dampers.World Cup Cross Member, 5 Linked Rear, with Bilstein dampers and Single Leaf slipper springs.

Comes with spares package and 20 wheels and some usable tyres.

This car is presented in very good condition, it spent most of its competitive life sponsored by a bodywork company so has always been looked after and is fresh from an exterior respray. It has never been rolled and has only had 2 crashes of any significance (both offside rear quarter) and photos can be shared of these.

It is on an MSA logbook (Not MSA Passport) but will need new Seats, Harnesses and Extinguishers to be ready to rally. This car has never been in the woods.
